TESCO’s Calibration Fixture was developed for utilities who want full control over their tool calibration process. Designed for use with the TESCO Hot Socket Gap Indicator (Cat. No. 300), the fixture helps extend the life of the device and ensures it meets safety expectations long after its original 5-year calibration period.

This is especially valuable as early HSGI units begin to reach their recalibration interval.

TESCO’s Hot Socket Gap Indicator Calibration Fixture (Catalog No. 302) lets you recalibrate your HSGI tool in-house in just three simple steps. Whether you’re maintaining a fleet of tools or just ensuring continued accuracy, this fixture provides a traceable, reliable method to keep your Hot Socket Gap Indicators within spec.

How It Works:

  1. Step 1: Turn on the force gauge and press ZERO to zero the device.
  2. Step 2: Place your TESCO HSGI into the slot and manually push the lever down until the force gauge stops against the HSGI.
  3. Step 3: Verify the measurement is between 7 and 9 PSI.

If it measures between 7 and 9 PSI, your HSGI has passed and you may place the provided calibration label on your HSGI.
If it is outside of the range, TESCO can perform the calibration to bring it back to the proper operating limits.
