Description


The TESCO PL4000 AC programmable load box combines lab-grade precision with rugged portability. Whether you’re conducting AC EVSE compliance testing, field validation, or manufacturer R&D, the PL4000 ensures accuracy, safety, and seamless integration with the TESCO T4000 and T4350 EVSE Test Systems.

Charger Testing Capabilities:

  • 29A at 120V chargers (~3.5kW)
  • 50A at 208V chargers (~10.5kW)
  • 58A at 240V chargers (~14kW)

This makes the PL4000 ideal for high-power AC charger validation across CCS1 (J1772) and NACS standards.

Key Features:

  • Auto-Interface: When paired with TESCO’s T4000 or T4350 EVSE Test Systems, the PL4000 is automatically detected. No manual configuration is needed in the EVSE Tester UI.
  • Auto Cool-Off: After each test, the system uses the EVSE Tester’s internal battery to power cooling fans, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Integrated Breakers: Includes AC breakers, with DC breakers available for specialized testing with DC chargers.
  • Built-In Sensors: Monitors ambient temperature, exhaust temperature, humidity, and fan speed. The system halts testing if a fault is detected, protecting equipment and accuracy.
