Field Test Kit (621)

The TESCO 621 Field Meter Test Kit is a rugged, lightweight solution for accurate, on-site testing of open-link electric meters. Engineered to reduce field test equipment to its lowest possible weight, the 621 combines an artificial load and a customer-supplied digital reference standard in a compact, 25 lb. package, perfect for meter technicians who need mobility without compromising performance.

The incoming single phase voltage source can be 120, 208, 240, 277, or 480V and is automatically switched internally to provide the source voltage for the single-phase load. The various load values are changed by manipulation of a durable rotary switch. An “OFF” position is included in this switch so that the load can be de-energized. The unit provides a 5, 15 and 50 amp current source at full load and a 0.5, 1.5 and 5 amp current source on the light load setting without having to change connections. Power factor can be easily switched between 50% and 100% via a durable toggle switch.

The artificial load and reference standard are permanently connected internally, so no user action is required. This makes the 621 an ideal choice for utilities prioritizing safety and portability.
