Third Rail Voltage Tester (4E2-1)

Reliable High Voltage Third Rail Testing

The Knopp 4E2-1 Voltage Tester is designed to detect electrical potential between the third rail and ground on high voltage electrified transit systems. It uses two independent circuits with redundant neon bulbs to indicate the presence of voltage, providing double safety protection for the operator.

The prod handle and tester housing are made from moisture and oil resistant laminated phenolic for durability. Stainless steel prod tips ensure reliable contact, and a rubber hand guard is built into the housing to guide proper hand placement. No metal parts are exposed except for the two prod tips. All internal connections are soldered for long-term reliability.
