TESCO Announces the Acquisition of Knopp
As of March 1, 2018, Knopp Inc. will become part of the TESCO – The Eastern Specialty Company. Like TESCO, Knopp is well-established in the metering industry and primarily known for transformer test equipment, precision voltage and current transformers, and electrical instruments. The 90-year old company, based in Emeryville, CA, fits well into the TESCO brand, known and trusted in the industry for dependability and accuracy.
Knopp employees will continue to produce and service customers from their San Francisco Bay area location. TESCO will extend to the entire Knopp line of products the same support and commitment as we have for all TESCO products, namely:
- We will support and service any Knopp equipment of any vintage
- We will purchase and provide a credit for any Knopp equipment you have retired
- We will provide on-site support and repairs for larger equipment
- We will provide on-site or remote training for all equipment
- We will provide the same high accuracy best-in-class precision voltage and current transformers
- We will provide transformer calibration services in both Emeryville, CA, and Bristol, PA, with our ISO 17025 Calibration Lab
- TESCO will extend their Diamond Support Plan to any Knopp equipment that you have inspected and calibrated by TESCO/Knopp (on-site or remote)
- TESCO commits to upgrading existing Knopp products and bringing back other Knopp products by customer request
